This Act is aimed at protecting the operation of computer systems and the data they hold.

The Act covers unauthorised access to a computer system, and unauthorised modification of a system, its programs, or its data.

It is prudent to quote the Act on entry panels to systems to ensure that people are aware that the system owners know their rights under the Act.
